Paradise Point (Punta de Paraiso) Overview
Resort Development
With a world class marina, spectacular view properties, private beach club, three 18-hole PGA quality eco-golf courses, four and five-star hotels, and adjacent rainforest reserve, Paradise Point (Punta de Paraíso) will be one of the premier, master-planned, residential resort communities in all of Central America.
Hotels – Four and Five Star Hotels
Paradise Point will develop several, 4 and 5 star hotels on the property, and is currently considering several of the world's leading resort/hotel chains. The hotels chosen will offer Gold Member amenities to all of our residents.
Residential Development on Golf Course Lots and Ocean View Lots
Paradise Point residential properties will provide the foundation for carefree, coastal living. Our luxurious condominiums, villas and home sites will feature contemporary amenities, lushly landscaped recreational areas and unparalleled ocean, rainforest and fairway views…no two will be alike, and each property offers the opportunity for a customized tropical living experience.
In both our eco-golf and residential communities, a buyer may design and build the home of their dreams on a premier ocean view lot. A well-planned set of architectural guidelines will ensure that all construction within the community upholds the high standards established in the Paradise Point master plan. US-style property administration and professional maintenance of common areas will enhance the value of the custom homes for years to come.
Golf Courses – Three PGA Quality Championship Golf Courses
The three Gil Martinez golf courses planned for Paradise Point will offer an extraordinary encounter with nature at every hole. The majestic natural beauty that will surround the courses will be rivaled only by the excitement and challenge of play.
It will not be uncommon to see playful monkeys, three-toed sloths, brilliant-colored toucans and scarlet macaws along the fairways.
Marina – Six Hundred Slips
The marina at Paradise Point bay will become a world class destination in Latin America for its state-of-the-art facilities, cruise ship accommodations, and home to some of the world’s greatest sail, marlin and sword fishing (commonly known as the triple slam). Close proximity to the Galapagos Islands (made famous by Charles Darwin) is another major plus.
With 600 plus slips, our marina will be able to accommodate 20’ to 250’ vessels, with all the amenities boaters have come to expect from a sophisticated facility. The planned dock system will feature imported pedestals with 30, 50 and 100-amp electrical service, potable water, satellite radio and TV, WIFI internet, and telephone services.
Additional services will include 24-hour security, video surveillance, trash removal, dry storage for vessels up to 35’ in length, mini self-storage units, marine supply store, and modern day fuel station.
Ease of Arrival, Accessibility, Flight Availability
A new international airport is planned in the southern zone of Costa Rica, approximately 35 miles from our site. There is also a regional airport located a few minutes away from the planned development at Paradise Point where private planes and small commercial airlines can currently access the area. A second airport is also available across the bay at Gulfito.
Ease of Roadway System
Costa Rica, with its emphasis on tourism, maintains a modern and extensive road network. Tourists and residents have easy access to the countries many points of interest, allowing day trips to all the regional attractions.
Costa Rica Political Stability
Costa Rica has one of the most stable governments in the world. When Costa Rica abolished its armed forces in 1948, it created an economic boom. Major corporations from all over the world started investing in Costa Rica. This created a very healthy economy and educated country, with one of the highest literacy rates in the world. Also, Costa Rica does not have any capital gains tax. Most importantly, Costa Rica has equal rights for both citizens and foreigners and its constitution provides legal guarantees, predictability, and peace of mind for any foreign investor.
Market Comparisons and Appreciation
The real estate market in Costa Rica is enjoying the benefits of accessibility, tourism, stability, beauty, and all the other amenities the country provides. Real estate appreciation documentation confirms the lucrative nature of such an investment in Costa Rican real estate.
The Costa Rican Real Estate Guide reports that for the developments on the coast, the average residence which sold for $300,000 in 2003 is now worth $1,000,000, an annual appreciation of over 100%. The average cost of a condominium of $250,000 in 2003 now has an average value of $800,000, also an annual appreciation of over 100%.
The Costa Rican Real Estate Guide also projects the market for ocean view lots to appreciate from current 2006 prices to triple or quadruple in the next three years.
Opportunities
GMA International is in the process of developing the largest titled ocean front coastal resort, Paradise Point (Punta de Paraíso) in Costa Rica, and lots are now being offered at pre-entitled prices. A pre-entitled lot is one which has not yet gone through the platting or subdivision process and has not yet been cut from the original parcel.
